The Paper Doorway

The Paper Doorway

Written By: Dean Koontz

Illustrated By: Phil Parks

We think The Paper Doorway is a good book because of all the funny poems. Here is our favorite funny verse and nothing worse poem! This poem is Franken bunny! Here it is….

Franken bunny

Thunder! Wonder! Motion and commotion! In the castle tower, The monster-maker works. At this hour, Some evil beastie lurks. Motion! Commotion! Freighting! Lighting! Lying on the table, Made of bunny pieces, It is not yet able, to unfold its creases. Oh, the windy wind! Oh, the rainy rain! The creature is crumpled, It’s gnarled and rumpled Strange stitches in it’s head. Thunder crash! Lighting smash! Organ music! Gloomy tunes! Now it leaps to its feet. Snarling, growling, and groaning. With a tail twitch quite neat, It stalks the night, moaning. Franken bunny! Franken bunny! Not a sunny little bunny! Though its tail is waggage, It has the urge to kill. Wants to kill a cabbage-I’m sure it surely will. Franken bunny on the lose VEGTABLES BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That was our favorite funny verse and nothing worse poem. If you liked this poem you surely like the book. We picked it because of Easter.

If you like to read how presidents lived in the white house and pictures of big headed people, this is the book for you. It has all the presidents and plus their family. Wayside School is Falling Down

I would like to recommend this book to people who like to laugh… a lot. This book is about a bunch of tales about Mrs. Jewls class, who are on the top story of Wayside School. A yard teacher delivers a heavy package to the top floor (Mrs. Jewls class) when Mrs. Jewls is teaching gravity, so when the package gets there, Mrs. Jewls opens it up, and it is a computer. The whole class moans, and one student says, “We hate computers, they make us learn faster.” She tells the yard teacher to put it on the counter. Mrs. Jewls pushes it off as the whole class watches, “And that is how gravity works,” says Mrs. Jewls proudly. “We get it,” says the whole class. Computers are much faster then pencil and paper!
